How we assess a management system
The method behind every exhibit: what we observe, how often, and how we state the limits of what it shows.
Methods
Placeholder. This page is placeholder copy written to test layout and tone. It is not published research and makes no factual claims.
The unit of assessment
Our research looks at a plant’s management system as four connected parts: the standards that define the work, the routines that confirm it, the checks that detect deviation, and the corrections that close the gap. The full definitions, with measurement boundaries, will be published here.
Assessment uses evidence from ordinary working days
Where possible, we prefer evidence the plant produces on ordinary working days over evidence gathered for a special review. Each exhibit states the period and population it covers.
Exhibit standards
- Every exhibit is numbered and carries a full-sentence title stating its finding, a unit line and a source line.
- Exhibits that use placeholder values carry an “Illustrative data” tag, and their source line says so.
- Charts include a data table alternative and a text description for screen readers.
Limits
This section will describe what the method cannot tell a reader, and where judgment replaces measurement.
